Internet Marketing Reviews. Can’t live with em’, can’t trust em’.

This episode covers a topic most people online already know, but any level of online experience can still fall for. Product reviews, internet marketing reviews, reviews cover just about anything.

It can be extremely difficult to find honest consumer reviews online. Discovering how to find an impartial reviews site that is not overrun by affiliates or scams, can be a full time job in and of itself.  True customer reviews or product reviews that are untarnished or motivated by unstated incentives (affiliate marketing) can be hard to come by. Even with the new FTC rules governing disclosure, you’ll still find many review sites that for all intents and purposes look completely real and trustworthy, that only later turn out to be fake.

That’s not to say there aren’t real review sites out there. Of course there are (very, very, few dealing with anything about making money or internet marketing).

Yes, this Marketing Minute is more of a rant and a warning than anything else. Because I, even after a decade of experience, can still get misled while searching for an honest review online. Whether it be for an internet marketing product, marketing tools, or a brand new vacation property in Costa Rica, it takes a discerning eye to separate the truth from the fiction.

First off, forget the gurus. They’re great, but if your a beginner you might want to steer clear of those mass market training courses and all the “honest” product reviews they seem to acquire. If you want to discover the proper internet marketing tools that will boost your online business, ALWAYS take online product reviews with a grain of salt, unless they’ve proven themselves trustworthy over time.
