This is such a great episode! I am going to have fun with this, and more importantly, you’re going to learn from my mistakes. I’m a walking web hosting horror story! In this episode of MarketingCrazy Minute, we’ll discuss hosting your online business website. We’ll show you exactly how to choose a good host, safe from natural and digital disaster.

This episode has been a decade in the making, and every time disaster has struck me, and in some cases I’ve had to rebuild from scratch, I vowed it would not happen again. Yet, it did – and perhaps even continues to. Hosting Horrors will befall everyone whom does business on the internet, as one point or another.

Hosting is important because it’s the foundation of your online business. Without a reliable host, all of your online marketing efforts and internet marketing tools will not be effective. Who do I use? I use Hostgator (yep, that’s our affiliate link alright, thank you!), and, at the high end, Rackspace.

In the past, I have used, with either negligible to downright poor results, Powweb, Ipower, Hostway (large company too), Godaddy/1&1, and a zillion others. What are your experiences? Post your comments below!

It’s important to find a consistent host that has a minimal amount of problems and a dependable form of dedicated support. From website backups to nameservers and prices … the problem is, it’s very hard to know the good from the bad.
